Delightful Daffs

I've been quite busy over the last few days on various 'projects', some of which I couldn't actually undertake due to gale force winds and rain but this afternoon, despite the gale, I just had to wander down my garden to see what was happening.
I still have violets in abundance and my apricot tree is in full bloom and I've noticed my raspberries, gooseberries and blackcurrants seem to be in bud as does the lilac but the thing that really caught my eye was my bunch of 'squatter' daffodils. I didn't plant them but they seem to have seeded and taken this little spot as their home.
For the first five or so years we lived here we had nothing but nettles down there but we dealt with them via environmentally friendly methods and now, for the last three years, we've had this lovely, bright little clump of daffs
I did try to take photographs of the blossom on my apricot tree but, due to the wind, I found my hands being moved by the gusts. Hopefully the wind will die down over the weekend so I can take a snap!

I've spent many happy times in the Lake District with my family where Wordsworth lived. It's absolutely beautiful.

I'm now waiting for the bluebells to come out. The woodland a few hundred feet away from our back garden is just awash with them. They're so beautiful that our local farmer who owns the land, opens it up to the public and all proceeds go to our local church.

Your lovely daffodils were probably planted by squirrels...
Some of my bulbs are coming up, but nothing is anywhere near blooming yet.
Very windy here, too.

They are lovely. I have a few surprise flowers in strange areas too.
