Ah, the perks of living on your own...

Photo I took of the clogged drain

I was washing the dishes, when suddenly I noticed that the other side of the sink was filling with water. I moved some dishes out of the sink, tried the plunger, tried running the garbage disposal a few times, and noted that shreds of artichoke leaves were coming up, but the water was not going down. Duh...I should not have put artichoke leaves in the disposal. As much as I hated to, I looked up plumbers and found one here in town that I read good reviews about, plus I'd seen their trucks going around town, so... The lady on the phone said someone would be here between twelve and one about a two hour time window). That will give me time to clean out under the sink. I wish Dad was still here. He could have fixed it. but, again, living on your own...

I live alone and every time the sink or anything else blocks, I look after it. One can go on YouTube and get some tips.

My husband is wonderfully helpful about things like that. It helps me to tolerate him when he's being annoying!

My Dad was good at fixing everything. My brother is pretty good, too, but he's busy with his own life...
