What is your most irrational fear?

I watched the movie Derailed last night with a couple of friends, and we ended up talking about fears. For those of you who don't know, a woman is "raped" in the movie and it's pretty graphic. I never thought I really had any irrational fears before that, but I realized that I'm really scared of being outside at night.

I'm terrified of being swallowed by a whale. Even on dry land. I don't know where this fear came from, but that's it. About as irrational as you get. :/

Hehe, thanks. I wish I knew where that fear came from, because it's so completely insane. I love the ocean, I'm just terrified of a whale swallowing me. (Even though I know it's physically impossible.)

my best friend is terrified of lawn gnomes and she has no idea why. it's funny because she's really down to earth otherwise. she has no clue why she's afraid of them but they make her cry.
