I'm an avid reader, but I have read all of my favorite authors' books. Anyone have an author and book(s) that are their favorites?

I really like Anne Rice and Stephen King books. If you haven't, read the Mayfair Witch chronocles by Anne Rice. It's only 3 books, but they are good.

Oh yes, the Mayfair Witches and the Vampire Chronicles are both excellent series. I have read the Witching Hour three times now...I still love it! Thanks for the post :)

If you like Ann Rice, you would prbably like Christine Feehan's Dark Series. It is the only vampire series I have been able to get into. I am sure you have noticed that vampire novels now seem to be the hot thing released. Maybe because of that, I have not wanted o read them. But Christine Feehan started this series before vampires novels became a dine a dozen to read. And like I said, the only vampires series I have been able to get into. Here is a website for you to check it out. They really are some amazing books!!! http://www.christinefeehan.com/dark_series.htm

If you like fiction and like to laugh at the same time, I'd recommend any of Terry Pratchett's discworld novels. They are great. The discworld is, as the name suggests, a flat world which is balanced on the back of four elephants which are on turn standing on the back of a giant turtle. Pratchett's books are always great to read.

I am an avid reader also, but I never run out of good authors to read. My favorites are Stephen King, Robin Cook, John Grisham, Deen Koontz, Patricia Cornwell, J K Rowling, Janet Evanovich. These are all very different authors except King and Koontz, who I think write a lot alike. There are others I read in between these authors, but to me these are the best authors around today!
