Im amazed at the new additions to the English language around now days. In my day sick meant not well. Now apparently it means great or brilliant. Mint was a herb, now its something in great condition. Lush was a loose woman. Now it means high class and luxurious. A slapper someone who hit you. Now it is also was a woman of loose morals (at least here in Ireland it is) . Duck face was the front of a ducks head. Now its that big pout all the young ladies do when taking a selfie. Threading was what you did with a needle if you were going to sew something. Now its something that they do to their eyebrows. Im sure there are many more. Sometimes I think young people speak a different language. Then theres all the new internet lingo like snapchatting, whatsapping and all the things that go on in relationships online like getting frapped and getting ghosted and phising scams. The mind boggles. Am I the only one confused.
