Talk about the Philippines' natural resources, ours is paradise here on earth. Not just our pristine white beaches on endless coastlines, the surf perfect waves, the groves, the mountains and hot springs, the waterfalls, but the majestic rivers as well. One is under threat to be destroyed, to make way for a dam that will sustain the water for Metro Manila. If you want to know the meaning of desecration, watch this.
I honestly hope we won't need to destroy all this to slake the metropolis' ever deepening thirst.

It is beautiful, and I hope it won't be destroyed.

Standing on the forefront to fight this out. This is against our law. The natives will be displaced. It is their land.

@eileenleyva That's not right that the natives will be displaced.

@LindaOHio The Philippines is tribal culturally. Though the people dwelling up in the mountain ranges are no longer indigenous, most stay there because the land is their ancestry. It is their right to preserve and defend their home.

Too sad for the tribal community. We just hope it will not push though!

Young people are giving it a fight, from social media to real rallies. I wish the millennials succeed. They are the country's hope.

@acelawrites All the names I cast in the last elections lost, except for one - KABATAAN. Amidst the cheating, they couldn't shoo KABATAAN, which, I think, was number 50 in the party list. Why? Because in the 17th congress, only KABATAAN passed the most number of bills.
Pagpupugay mula sa KABATAAN! Salamat sa pakikiisa ngayong 17th Congress, tuloy ang laban sa 18th Congress! At least 20 laws passed in the 17th Congress Top 1 most prolific among first-term...

@eileenleyva am glad some young people are aware, as the millennials call "woke" of what is happening to our country. They are really our hope; that they will continue the good fight for our country.

Thank you, Danna B. Without declaring Martial Law, the incumbent has controlled almost all sectors of government and society. China has come to claim our country for its own. There is another way, as Japan always has been helpful in infrastructure projects. The problem is in our ridiculous government.

It sounds wonderful. It's a shame that progress sometimes destroys some of the best parts of a paradise.

@LindaOHio The complacency, coupled with self/family first has become a serious fault. Reason why people who put up a fight could not prosper. Yet, when I see some selfless millennials calling on their friends to come join the cause, for land and people, I am in awe and deep admiration. Somehow, the young will not allow the destruction of the nation.

@eileenleyva I'm sorry to hear that the Philippines population is so complacent over such a major problem. That contributes to more and more areas being destroyed.
