Babysitting Grandchildren

Im babysitting tonight for my daughter. She and her two children live with me and I do a lot of babysitting because Im here anyway. Do any grandparents here babysit their grandkids. If so would you expect payment or a gift or anything every now and again. What kind of arrangements do others make. Im Interested in peoples opinions. Some people I know feel Im being taken advantage of (not me) and others think I should be glad to help her out which I am. Opinions please.

no, me and my wife babysit the grandkids all the time ! We never expect payments nor gifts ! If we are being taken advantage of, it's our choice, we are not petty ! My wife would never hear of it, taking payments or gifts for doing a family tradition, in both of our families when we were growing up ! People have their opinions, we have ours !
