Lee County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) deputies Sergeant Rose and his partner Deputy Soto witnessed a strange act recently when a male dog named Hank was scratching their door asking them to assist him to take him back to his owner's home after he got lost after he left his owner's home. The way that the two police officers were able to get Hank back to his owners was that Hank had a collar which had the address where he lives with his owners. Hank's owners are very grateful that the two police officers took care of their lost pet and fed him while he was given a free ride back to his owner's home in Florida.

Hank is one very smart doggy. Imagine he knew to ask the police for help. Silly doggy for getting lost in the first place but at least he knew what to do.

One clever pooch..I heard about a dog on the news once that had a run in with a car..and instead of running home and cowering under the bed like most dogs would do..he went to the vets office. He even held up his injured paw!

That is true since if my dog was lost, I would look everywhere to make sure my pet comes back safe and sound.
