What should we believe in to be happy?

My life might at the lowest point. since i have been unemployment, everything seem worse and worse. No income, I try my best to earn and lost more. I wonder that what should i believe in now to get over.

My husband and I with our 5 children were homeless and hungry last year. We lived in a motel room for 7 months. It was a really hard time to say the least. But we didn't lose faith, we knew God had the best place lining up for us and He did bless us immensely! Sometimes hard times last longer than we want them to but we cannot give in to the enemy who comes to kill, steal and destroy. We have to remember that God is working for us. =) I will be praying for you!
