taking pictures

OK, so the reality of pictures is that they are capturing something that made you, for a moment pause.
For this question, we are focusing on Film SLRs, DSLR's and point and shoot cameras.
(SLR is single lens reflect, changeable lens, DSLR is a Digital Single-lens reflect again changeable lesns)
Point and shoot cameras allow for adapters but no additional lens.
Which one, if money were no object, would you choose to carry?

You already know I am tech stupid. I actually need a camera but it has to be cheaper but not crappy. I will take suggestions, I still haven`t gotten the phone either. Life!

well the easy answer is it depends - I like the Olympus for point and shoot digital.

I am sure that you love cameras Scott, but If money wasn't an object, I would definitely get myself a nice and sophisticated smartphone with a powerful camera and that'll be all! LOL. At least with the smartphone I can do many other things than the only one I can do with a cam.
