Travellers enjoy boating in the waters of rivers Damodar and Barakar in Maithon. The Damodar Valley Corporation dam in Maithon restricts the flow of the water of the rivers.During monsoon the river waters flood the neighbouring areas. The dam allows the flow of water in best way to help the agriculture of the place.
