The Wisconsin sky failed me again...

I moved to Wisconsin back in April of 2000. Since then there have been a myriad of celestial events openly observed by people here on planet Earth. Solar and Lunar eclipses, blood moons, blue moons, and even the occasional comet.
Last night we were supposed to be enjoying a phenomenon that make the Aurora Borealis visible to us. This isn't the first time it has made an appearance this far South, but all other times it was hiding behind and overcast sky. I've always wanted to see those Northern Lights, but have been disappointed each time, all because of those clouds.
Last night was no different. The sky was only about half overcast, so I hoped beyond hope . I even drove about 20 miles out into farm country so I there would be no interference by ambient light.
Nope, nope, nope. No Northern Lights for me. I guess I just need to keep driving north until I see them.

Sorry, you didn't get to see those Northern Lights. Hope you manage to see them one day soon.
