30 Day Song Challenge Day 15: A song that is a cover by another artist / myLot

There are a lot of covers that I really love, so this was a difficult choice. This is a song by one of my current favorite bands the Tedeschi Trucks Band. It is lead by Susan Teseschi and her husband Derek Trucks. He used to play with The Allman Brothers Band, and his uncle was Butch Trucks who was a drummer and founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. I love how different the song is from the original.

I liked Glen Campbell's version very much, but I love this. And I love that they made the song something else. Why do a cover if it sounds just like the version everybody knows?

I assume that you have heard Glen Campbell's version, although that was also a cover, but it was the most famous version. Just because you have not heard it, does that mean it's not good?

@norcal Harry Nilsson's cover is the most famous reaching #6 in 1969 and was theme song for the movie Midnight Cowboy which was Best Picture Oscar winner.

@JohnRoberts I guess you know. Never saw the movie. Just listened to the song, I do remember that one. I just have always associated it with Glen Cambell.
