Cream of Wheat / myLot

When I was growing up I was not introduced to many foods because my mother was so picky. For example I didn’t have pizza till I was 12 because my mother kept telling me how bad it was for me.

I was at someone elses house and was really hungry and that’s what I had.

I had Cream of Wheat as a hot cereal when I was a child, but I continued to like it.

I have tried grits and oatmeal which I didn’t like

Cream of Wheat is probably by favorite hot cereal. My mom used to sing the old jingle while she made it for us.. "Cream of Wheat is so good to eat, we have it every day!" Well, we didn't have it every day, there are way to many good breakfast foods to stick to only one, but I still love it.

I have had grits three times in my life and hated it! I have never eaten cream of wheat except in a sweet potato corn bread recipe I make.

I hate grits too! I have never heard of cream of Wheat in that recipe.

@dfollin I also grw up on cream of wheat but have not had it in ages. I eat oat meal for breakfast for a cereal if I do not eat granola cereal or kelloogs corn flakes.
