There continues to be archeological study of Jerusalem, which has gone on for years. The scene here at the bottom of the picture is of a street at the level of about the time of Jesus. This means that the streets at Jesus' time were about 6 feet below the street level today. This means that in the last about 2,000 years , Jerusalem was destroyed again and again and the rubble of these times of destruction built the streets up to where they are today. This means that today one cannot 'walk in the footsteps of Jesus', unless this done at a level far below where streets are today, if the rubble between then and now is removed.

Maybe not, but we can still walk in the same places He did.

Very few places. Most have been covered over by later buildings in the past 2,000 years.

@JWMILLER There have been a lot of archeology about Jewish things found. Jews have been here in Israel over 3,000 years. Jerusalem is a very Holy City for Jews and others and it is also the capital of Israel.
