I was browsing my Facebook when I saw a shared post by a friend about automated school ID card in an elementary school in Cavite. I read the whole post, it stated that their pupils have this automated school ID card wherein they will swipe it when they will enter the school and automatically, they will send text message to their parents confirming that they are already inside the school premises, what time they got in. It is nice to know about it, somehow it will assured the parents that their children are in school. What a way to used technology in better and useful way. I hope some schools here will implement this.

I think this is also done in one exclusive school here in San Juan Xavier School. The faculty and students have the same ID card and they just have to swipe it on a machine to be recorded. I just do not know if they have the capability to text the parents that their sons are in the school. They were using this technology for quite sometime now. They are also required to swipe when they go out of the school premises.

What's nice was the text message message to the parents once they swipe it.

That sounds like a good idea, although I'm sure some will get their friends to swipe their cards for them...
