thats a good age very young.
i agree with you i also know not to have friends or family live with you as it causes fights and ruins the friendship even more when they dont pay rent

I didn't start paying for my first place til I was about 28, but I did it as a single person and did it in the days the interest rate was 18 and a half%....but I worked double shifts to do it....I started off by buying a flat sold it to buy a unit then sold that to buy a house....hard work but it does pay off in the end...I hope you get your little white picket fence one day....:)

I was age 20, married with a 5 month old daughter, when we bought our first house. It was a 3 bedroom/1 bath house on 1/4 acre of land. Each of my last 3 cars cost me more than my first house did. Houses are so expensive today that it doesn't surprise me that young couples can't afford to buy a home. There are a few government programs available to first-time home buyers, so check those out before you decide to buy. Some are nothing down, too. Good luck.

I am 22 and I rent an apartment..an expensive apartment, but I can't own it. However, I just got married, and my husband is still in school. We are living off of my salary and his part-time job paycheck. We won't be able to afford a house until he graduates and gets a salary, as well.
