Does Business and Family/Friends mix?

I dont think so, no matter what happens soemthing always goes wrong and loose a friend or have a family riff that lasts for years.
i bought a house with my bro and when we solkd it, there were hard feelings over the pay out
Anyone else have experiance with this.
