Last week I began looking at ten songs that my late mother liked, songs that were not exactly in the realm of music "made" for people her age. Today's song is a head-scratcher, even for me. Here's today's tune.
#4: It's Raining Again - Supertramp
And my first reaction was, "Really, Mom????"
I didn't ever know my mom to be into saxophone-driven music, or prog-rockers-turned-pop-acts (which is basically what Supertramp was: go back to one of JJ's albums and you'll hear the first Supertramp album that sounded nothing like the "hit" Supertramp). Somehow or the other she fell in love with this song.
Me, being the dutiful daughter, bought the 45 for her and put it on a cassette for her car. Later I included it on my iPod in "her" playlist.
