Do you carry an organ donor card. I cant due to previous illness meaning I am not suitable. If I could I would be in two minds about it. On one hand I don't like the thought of parts of me walking about after I am gone. On the other hand if I or a family member needed an organ I would like to think it was available to us. I know some cultures and religions forbid using organs or blood from a donor to save or change lives and part of me feels we don't have the right to mess around with nature to this extent. The other part feels that if it can save or change a life what is the harm and everyone should carry a card. Is donating your organs something you would want when you pass on

@teenal yes i totally agree, i was once a bone marrow donator but unfortunately my blood pressure was too high i was not able to go through with the anesthesia part , it broke my heart knowing i could not help because it is so hard to find a match for bone marrow.

@Dyvette16 Did the child find a donor. I do hope so. I only ask because I knew a little lad waiting for a liver. He was a rare blood group and they had to screen all his family to find a live donor match but none were suitable. At the 11th hour he got a donor from Europe and a year on is alive and reasonably well. There are complications but he would surely have passed by now without it.
