Are there too many talent shows on TV / myLot

Are there too many talent shows on now days where you live. Im getting tired of them all now in Ireland. Its just one after another. Are they just a gimmick to generate big advertising. Most of the winners just disappear after the show anyway and are never heard of again.

I think it's too many, can't keep track of them at all. Not that I'm trying :-) Also too many programs about C-list (or F-list) celebrities dancing, trying to run a farm, trying to teach 71 degrees north, cooking, visiting eachtother, singing eachothers song etc And especially too many of the shows that reuse the same people, people that got famous for being on a show in the first place

Its the same here in Ireland. They aren't even what I would call celebrities just reality TV actors and reality TV is not real..Its all staged.

@teenal There has been quite a few athletes here, especially when it's dancing, sports or fighting to survive in the wilderness. Then there's the people I've really never heard about, that's been on some other obscure show

Many of them are singing shows!! They need more variety shows!! With all kinds of talent!!

There are a lot but there are also a lot of "reality" shows that are not reality. I would rather watch the talent shows and I like the medical shows too.

That's true. Im so sick of reality shows. Its worse in America than Ireland. The only reality programme I like is Im a celebrity get me out of here.

talent and reality shows,yup. although we have one here called "the masked singer" that's an interesting twist on it.

@teenal Not enough talent to go round so many shows. And there is rarely anything original. Complete bilge if you ask me. Great way of making money though. Wish I’d have thought of it first.

i do like watching the different talents but i feel that every show is set up to go a certain way so i think the winners are already picked which is no fun
