Ferret day!

Yesterday was ferret day because I’d it being ferret day and our family having 2 little ferrets we decied to treat them to a treat. They got 2 new toys. One of each of them. They loved the new toys and they where very happy to be out in our old pack n play form when the boys where babies. Since we have no babies I thought it would be good for when I clean the cage which is what I had to do yesterday. I pretty much clean it once a week. It helps keep them healthy and fresh litter for the litter box. I even changed out there there beds to put a new one in so I can clean the other one.
They loved playing in the pack n play. They played with there toys which we have plenty they played with each other with there little ferret jumps. One is more playful then the other.

Do you have any issues with the smell? That's the one bad thing about ferrets, is their smell. Even after their scent glands are removed, you can still tell they have that musky "ferret" smell. Well, maybe if you've been around ferrets for a while, you're probably used it so it probably doesn't bother you.

They are desecented. So the smell doesn’t bother me I also grew up with them. I also clean there cage regularly so that also helps with the friends.

@ShyBear88 Do you have to bathe them at all? Or do they bathe themselves, like cats?

@moffittjc yes they do need baths like once a month but they can have dry baths weekly.

So cute your little ferrets! The first time I ever saw a ferret was in a movie Kindergarten Cop. Looks like a very intelligent animal. They seem clean like cats. Do you have to bathe them? Are they easy to keep as pets?

They do need baths but it has be like once every month or 2. But I do hav elite a dry spray that use on them more regular and then a good bath. They are very easy to keep as bets and they are pretty quite in general. It’s best to have them in twos or more because they do get lonely even if you have a single on that gets a lot of attention.

@oahuwriter all animals need shots for there and your protection. So yes they go to a special vet and get there wellness check ups and booster shots as need.

They play with mostly cat toys but they also will play with small dog toys made for small dogs. No they don’t sleep with us. They sleep in there cage together.

@Hannihar it’s what the vent recommend for them for entertainment. We do take them out and play with them and let them run around a certain area!
