Drones

Of late, there was a passionate discussion regarding the morality of targeted killings by use of drones in counter-terrorism by the US military. Those in the affirmative side argued that the use of drones is justified for the reason that it is effective in suppressing terrorism as drone campaigns proved successful in countries like Jemen, Somalia and Pakistan. Drones took down top leaders of terrorists and degraded their capabilities for strikes. Those on the negative side questioned the proportionality of recent US drone campaigns. The absence of statistics is alarming. The number of grieving families is a fertile ground for burgeoning terrorists. Besides, the political cause of ground strikes oftentimes disrespects the sovereignty of a legitimate country. What kind of world the US government is creating with drone strikes? Isn't it a nation of the rule of law? The cowboy attitude which justifies extra-judicial killing is what pissed off people around the world.

I've witnessed so many drones and amazed at what drones are capable of.
