Summer Vacation at the Beach

I am hoping to get to spend some time at the beach this summer. We were going every summer until the Flood of 2016 hit us and turned life upside down for a while. I also had a stroke in 2017. We just started traveling again in 2018 and plan on taking several trips this year. I can't wait to get back to the beach in Florida and enjoy some relaxing days, the waves, and some great seafood!
Are you planning a beach vacation this year? And if so, where are you going? Or are you vacationing somewhere else?

oh yes. I will surely go to beach this vacation. It will never be removed in my schedule whenever i have a vacation.

@Nickzter1331 I have been known to make the trip a day trip --one for business meeting when I was with Jewelry In Candles and also when I was breeding parrots. I would go pick up babies for handfeeding or sell babies and the coast was one of my hot spots. Twelve hours is a tough drive to do all at once. That's our timing for the Smokey Mountains. Love that area!

I'm sorry you've had some problems. Glad you are going to FL. I would like to go to the Keys...but not this year.

We tried to visit The Keys when I was in Ft. Lauderdale for work. I had the rest of the week off and my family came along on the business trip so we could spend weekend in The Keys. Wouldn't you know that my husband got called back to work on an emergency? We were only 30-40 minutes away and had to turn around to drive home. It was a huge disappointment! It was also a long non-stop drive home which was worse for him because he had to go into work just a few hours later.
