Hic. I have the hiccups.

That's the second time this week. I hate hiccups. I don't even understand why we get them. A cough is to clear the chest or throat of bugs, a runny nose or eye is also to clear away bugs too but what is the function of hiccups I wonder. There must be one. Damned if I know what it is.

@teenal Their purpose is to distress you and annoy those around you, sometimes to make you into a figure of fun. I'm told that putting your head in a bucket of water three times and pulling it out twice helps.

I just drink water and take deep breaths several times; inhale from your nose then exhale through the mouth. I hope this will help.

Eat a spoon full of peanut butter. Put it in your mouth all at one time, then dissolve it in your mouth. By the time it is gone, you will have no more hiccups. This works for me every time.

Try to hold your breath for 20 secs An other way is to drink a glass of water I think this two will help
