Buying cards for occasions.

Im looking at my mantlepiece and as it was Mothers Day last week there are 6 cards on my fireplace. 4 for my daughter and two for me. We also had a birthday in the house last week so there are a further 12 cards lying flat on the fireplace. I don't keep cards after occasions . If I did there would be about about 50 cards a year from occasions other than birthdays and Christmas pilling up in a press somewhere. Im fairly eco conscious. If I had my way I would give them all back to be given again next year. They are such a waste of paper even though they are nice to receive.. What do you do with old cards.
