I hate to say this, but another tourist has fallen into the Grand canyon!I don't know much about it right now,but apparently he was in his 60s and leaning over when he fell in.I think this is the 5th person to fall in in a short time. What is up these days? You know you have to be careful at a place like this.it isn't Disneyland or Disney World, and even those places aren't totally safe.Taking pictures is nothing new.People have been doing it for over a century. Why can't they be more careful?

I've been to grand canyon and they need to put up more signage and rails!! The guides need to keep reminding people dont get too close to the edge!! Sorry about the 60 year old man!!

I saw that on the news. It was close to that glass thingy you can walk on to see the valley from the air I think? He wasn't on it though. We get that here every winter, people not used to proper winter and snow have to be rescued. Not all tourists, but in the summer there's even more and then there's more tourist. They read about things you have to see in Norway and don't realize that there's a 4-5 hour treck to go there, in mountainous terrain and possibly wind, rain and low temperatures. Plus of course nowhere to buy food.

@Aquitaine24 Yes, in many places you shouldn't go without a guide. I know they placed "warners" in some places here. When you're half-way there's person telling you how far it is, what the conditions are etc. Cheaper than having to rescue lot of people
