Ana Licea who is the owner of a three year old male Maltese Yorkie mixed dog named Chewie is disappointed that two women allegedly assaulted her stepfather who is 73 years of age while he was walking her dog Chewie on Friday late morning in a street of Long Beach California. The crime happened when the two women whose names were not released were driving their white auto on the street, saw the man with his dog. Since they saw the dog and the man as easy targets, both got out of their auto of them pushed the man to the ground and kidnapped the dog. Ana's stepfather suffered a knee and back injury from the fall while I am sure he was disappointed that he could not prevent the kidnapping of his dog. Thanks to the assistance of a surveillance video and the flyers posted claiming that a reward of $2,000 dollars for the reward of the safe return of Chewie, the Long Beach Police were able to find Chewie the next day in the home of the kidnappers in South Gate and took them into custody on charges of robbery and assault. Chewie was reunited with her owner at the Long Beach Animal Center shelter safe and sound.

That is true since why the kidnappers wanted that dog is not known why they committed that kind of crime.
