Needless to say we slept in a bit (about 11:00 am or so). I was hoping to see if I could repair my window switches so I made my morning java and headed to the garage. Have I told you that the internet is a wonderful thing? I researched my window switch issue and started to work. Sure enough the contacts were arching and covered so the switches wouldn't work. I followed the instructions and took a little piece of sandpaper to them, got everything back together (without finding "extra" parts) and reinstalled the switches. DANG, it actually worked. After straining my arm patting myself on my back, I decided I deserved a little down time so I headed out back to get some sun. It was kind of overcast but I figured what the heck. My wife and I had the iTouch connected to our mini-speaker so we listened to my wide variety of music and just kind of chilled. Feeling confident over my conquest of the window switch, I decided to attempt to repair the handle mechanism on my extended cab rear door. Once again I researched the repairs on the internet and everything looked to be within my capabilities so I figured what the heck. This actually turned out to be easier than anticipated. I think the hardest part was breaking the screws loose and figuring out how the door safety latch went into the handle. About an hour and a half later I was cleaning up my tools and had conquored another task. With the sun setting I figured it was time to relax so I headed to the shower, put on some relaxing attire and found my recliner. A couple hours later it was time to close out Saturday and head to bed. Say good night John boy.
