Thunder and Lightning

Here it is Monday evening and outside the rain is coming down. The lightning is flashing all around and the thunder is booming. It is worse by me in Daytona Beach, Florida because the house I live in is between the ocean and the river. I can walk to Daytona Beach and play in the Atlantic Ocean and I can walk to the Halifax River. What happens during a major thunderstorm is that the lightning can strike either into the ocean or the river and then the resounding booms make it sound like bombs blowing up. My cat Sid has that angry look again as he sits by me and once again thinks I am responsible for the rain coming down. The day started off so well with the sun shining and as you see in the photo Oreo sleeping right outside my front door on the porch railing. Right now from the window, it looks rather dramatic with wisps of steam rising off of the street lamp. Just had a KABOOM as the lightning struck into the river. How is your weather?
