I spent a long time listening to oldies.

Good morning, friends. Yesterday it all began with the last post I would read. It was a version of Elvis of Blueberry Hill.
After that, of course, I checked Fat Domino´s version. And I went to other versions and to other singers. Personally my favorite is Brenda Lee´s.
At You Tube you find live versions. And I looked at Brenda Lee and Paul Anka singing with a crowd of teens listening while they desperately chewed their bubble gums. Do people in the US still chew so much gum?
I watched Buddy Holly singing Oh boy. I listened to La Bamba and mourned again Ritchie Valens who died with Buddy Holly in an airplane crash when he was 17.
So many of you may not know what I am talking about. But it was the music of the 50s. The precursors of rock.
Anyone knows about them? Do you listen to the musicians you like on YouTube?

I will occasionally get in these "search and listen" moods, where I'll find different versions of a favorite song and listen to it.
BTW, did you know the first recording of "Blueberry Hill" was by Gene Autry in 1940?
