Food For Fines in some libaries around the nation

For the week of National Library Week which runs from April 7 through April 13, most libraries around the U S are accepting food to pay for the late fees of overdue books.
The idea of having patrons who cannot afford to pay the high price of fines for overdue books by reading books to pay off their fines or donate food so that the library could donate the food to a local food bank is one way to give back to the local community.
My hope is that all libraries around the U S start these kinds of programs to assist the food banks around our nation to low income families.

@crossbones27 That is a good idea since Point Counterpoint played on the original Weekend Update on Saturday Night Live back in 1970s.

Food banks could use the money and kids can learn reading skills in libraries instead of paying fines for late books.
