I am home

Here I am, I am home. I spent one more night with my friends. We went to eat at Palanque (I am spelling this wrong, I am sure) which is a mexican restaurant. We then came back, ate some cookies (we might have stopped by the grocery store on the way home for said cookies) and then watched some television. They expressed more happiness over their trip to the Bahamas. She gave me a piece of rock that she picked up, she also gave me a bag that she bought for me ... It changes colors in the sun. She also bought me my favorite alcoholic beverage, which of course I thought was nice. I'm home... I have laundry in the wash. I need to unload the dishwasher, I've already scrubbed down the toilet and the shower stall. It's good to be back, no I really mean that. To clarify for those who have not read all of my discussions... My friends went on a cruise, I pet sat for them. I am now home from that.

I am always glad to get back home, after being away for a while! It's fun to leave and more fun, to return to our familiar surroundings:)

I will be glad to bundle up in my familiar blankets, that's for sure. I will miss having a bathroom attached to the room I am sleeping in though.

@kobesbuddy We have three bathrooms and three people living here.. The bathroom I use (and clean) is in the master bedroom, but that bedroom is more of a storage room now. One bathroom has a shower that works but that has had the floor fall through. One bathroom has a faucet problem...

Well I am here, but I meant at my actual house. I'd spent a week at a friend's as she was on vacation and needed a pet sitter.

I find it's always nice to be back home after you have been gone. I am going away next Saturday. I hope the weather is good.

Palenque (honestly I'm not a 100% certain of the spelling either but am too lazy to look it up) is good but more often than not we end up at Don Juan's. Good, inexpensive Mexican food. I've trained my family to know that if I'm gone for a few days I better come home to a halfway decent looking house. Usually, they have the dishes done and the main living area picked up and vacuumed. There are few things that make me as grumpy as coming home to a sinkful of dirty dishes and a messy house!

I've not been to Don Juan's. There's a mexican restaurant in Walnut Cove that we've passed by a few times (If memory serves it's sort of across the street from the ABC store) and I'd like to try. Palenque has awesome waitstaff. The restaurants I usually frequent has waitstaff that usually leave us alone a little too much. There's nothing that aggravates me more than having to wait 15 minutes just to get my bill. I came home and there was not as many dishes as I had expected. I thanked my uncle for doing the dishes, he says "I didn't." So I thanked him for being honest and took care of the dishes. I learned a long time ago that it does me little to no good to get aggravated over what little gets done around here. If I don't do it, it doesn't get done.
