Do you think it is right to buy new items or items on sale for the purpose of selling them at a higher amount on Ebay? I thought it was terrible that people bought the Play Station 3 only to sell it for more money on Ebay. What about the poor kid who has been saving for months and months. Now some greedy person took his PS3 only to sell it on Ebay. Now the poor kid need another $500. There is something morally wrong with this picture.

Yeh I guess it does seem a little unfair but I guess some people use Ebay as their No1 income area, but I can see your point, it would make me mad to...

Thanks for the response. I realize Ebay is an income earner, but it just seems like people are taking advantage of the hard to come by products.

I think that price gouging is generally wrong, but with Ebay the buyers have a choice about whether or not they will bid and how high they are willing to go to purchase it. I think it's good business to be able to find a good price on something that someone else will pay more to get. Personally, I have more of an issue with the frenzy over these video games. I understand that they're really cool, but I can't imagine why someone would stand in line, even overnight, to have the chance to buy one.

There's nothing wrong with buying something cheap and selling it for more. If it was wrong, no one would be in business, but I do think it's wrong to run out and buy something for normal price and sell it for extremely high when the demand is so great. I think price gouging should be illegal in all cases, whether it's over gas during a shortage or something as silly as a video game console. It's just downright greedy and stupid.
