I celebrated my 29th birthday by putting a bid on the house I live in. I celebrated my 59th birthday by making the 360th and final payment. I’m no longer a co-owner with the bank. It’s mine!! Now let’s see if the “as soon as you pay it off it breaks down” car curse applies to houses as well! Here’s to all of you who have been here at this momentous event!! And, for you still paying, trust me, payment number 360 will eventually come! Home!!!

That's hard to do, especially in these modern times when there are so many trying to sucker you into taking a home equity loan out. Glad you didn't fall into that trap. Congratulations, and Happy Birthday!

Yay!!! I love hearing stories like this. And yes I remember my excitement when I got my first in my name and all mine. I can bet that its worth 10 times as much now, so clean it up, sell oit make the profit and buy another, with that cash, and get a new car.
