The Big Camellia Bush

I have shown you several flowers from my huge camellia bush. It has actually grown since we moved here, a little over ten years ago. It was already as tall as the roof of the house then and now it is now taller than the house. Since the house was build in 1860, there is really no telling how old this bush is. The sad part is the blooming season is ending. If you look closely you will not see many blooms left on the bush. Also, the bad weather we have had recently has blown off lots of flowers. With more bad weather coming on Thursday, I imagine it will take care of the rest of the flowers on the bush. The weather said to expect winds up to 75 mph! Until next year...my pretty flowers. I will be waiting!

I never knew camellias grew on a bush like that. It's sad the coming storm will take the rest of the flowers.

I don't remember my grandfather having any this big. I thought it was big when we moved here and it was, but it has grown a lot since then even.

@just4him I need to get that vine out and also see about spraying it soon for fungus. I think there might be some on it. Some of the leaves indicate that. It would be a shame to lose the bush after all these years.

It is and usually fully covered with flowers.

It has been long time I haven't see you and I am glad to see you here again. The flowers are pretty indeed even after falling.

I have some kind of vine growing in it that I need to get out. There is also an old time "Glory Bush" on the other side of it. It really needs relocating but it is hard to get to the roots.
