The Long and the Short of it

I'm 5'3". Typically have been shorter than many of my friends. My partner is 6'3". Sizewise, though, often been the bigger one. When I was younger, I had wanted to be a little taller. No more than 5'6". Over the years, I've come to enjoy & embrace the height I am. I know that some women would say, being shorter, there's more options for heels. That's something I did wear, at times, when I was younger. After having gone through bone cancer (I have a partial hip prosthetic & some times walk with a cane), I decided to forgo those. Which, I might have eventually, as, I'm a pretty casual, low maintenance type anyway. When it comes to the people in your life, where do you stand, heightwise?

5'3" is tall to me (I am barely 4'11" plus a fraction ). Hubby is maybe about 5'11". My 14 year old daughter has now surpassed me but only by an inch or so. My 9 year old son is the shorty of his class - maybe about 49" . . . and that makes me not the shortest in the family - yet .

Hi, I would tower over you, lol. I don't know too many people who are shorter than me. The people that are taller aren't usually by much.

@GypsyButterfly I actually do see adults that are shorter than me (even some males!). And definitely many that are taller, much taller than me!

You're almost nine feet tall? Or, is that a typo? 5'9", maybe?
