Darmouth Detective rescues an elderly man from a burning home

One great police rescue from Dartmouth Massachusetts happened on Saturday afternoon when an elderly man who was trapped inside the bottom floor of a two story home was rescued by Dartmouth Police Detective Scott Brooks who answered the emergency call before the local fire department arrived to put out the fire.
Before the fire department arrived, four children who were inside the burning home managed to leave the burning home safe and sound.
Detective Brooks was able to escort the elderly man out of the house safe and sound.
The fire was located in the upper part of the home in a single room which was put out by the fire department quickly.
There were no injuries in the house fire. Even though the family who lost their home in the fire that is being investigated by the authorities, the Red Cross found them a home in New Bedford where the fire victims can stay with their relatives until they can come back on their feet again soon.
Dartmouth Police Chief Brian P. Levesque praised his detective for his role in assisting a citizen who needed his help.
