"Silence in the face of evil is in itself evil." - Rev. Soc

I have agonized for three long years, yearning for a Homily from the pulpit, to smash the vulgarity and ruthlessness of the leadership of our land. Thirty thousand poor killed, including a few priests, in a false drug war. Each day passed with a mother or a father, a brother or a sister, weeping and wailing on the news, begging for justice for a loved one, and the response from the forked tongue in the palace was a crisp "P_tang-ina," or S_nofab-tch. There was a well-covered marching order to kill bishops, loud and clear. On this Chrism Mass Homily, we Christian soldiers just received our own marching orders to combat the evil one. Listen to Archbishop of Dagupan, Most Reverend Socrates Villegas, remind his fellow priests of the Vow of Holy Orders and the grace that emanates from martyrdom. Let us not be afraid of death.
WATCH & LISTEN to this strikingly meaningful message from the complete Homily of Most. Rev. Socrates B Villegas during the Chrism Mass at Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan. Credits: Sabins Studio...

I'm very sad and I'm sorry for what's happening in your country . Somehow the world got itself into a crazy spiral of violence for nothing, just because leaders became increasingly crazy...

Thank you, Gogata Ionut. Yes, we are now becoming a people militant, for God and country. Somehow, there's a consoling tone in your take about the reality that behooves us, the world leaders are the despicable ones. Worse scenarios are taking place somewhere. My people are still complacent, and many indifferent, and those who see the truth are asphyxiated. We have to take action,

@eileenleyva we all have to take action, but very few actually do it. We struggle every day with all kind of things and this keeps us occupied. But sooner or later the situation will become unbearable for enough people, that's when very bad things happen. And I'm afraid there is no way out, that's why I say that leaders everywhere are crazy. They either don't realise this or they don't care.

@Kasjnak A 6.1 earthquake shook our biggest island at 5:11 in the afternoon yesterday. Reports of damage to properties, infrastructure, including some 7 casualties were aired on television till midnight. Eighteen hours later, the leadership of this land has to wake up from his home in the south and take necessary action. You are right, these leaders don't really care.

Even more shocking is the profile of the poor killed: male, teen, handsome, student, earning decently by selling street food.

@cacay1 Patricia Evangelista went to every precinct, every wake, and she made a tally, a documentation of those killed.

When Jesus comes back to Earth, this situation will be straightened out once and for all. It has been a long time coming. So sorry for your nation.

The forked-tongue who claims leadership of the land is actually afraid of the the Catholics. We are an enduring people, quite quiet as we go on our every day lives, but when called to stand for our God and our country, we do rise and stand in the line. The country is actually peaceful, and the leadership is doing its best to destroy that peace.
