Changes with Quickbooks is Making it Harder for Me to Schedule Jobs

It looks like this won't be as good of a week to get extra jobs in as much as I hoped for as it's supposed to rain much of the week. Still, I've been working through the names on my list of those that have called thus far trying to figure out how long each job takes and whether we can get it done before it rains, if it does what is forecast. But, I keep running into a snag.
Last yearI updated my quickbooks software for the first time since 2001 and they took away something that I used all the time. It used to have a feature where you could look at a person's name and see both how many people did the job and how long the job took through the years. That portion of the program has been completely removed and in it's place they now have something called TSheets. It is probably a great improvement for most companies as it allows employees to keep track of their time at each job while on the go from their own personal smartphones. Most of my employees don't have smartphones and I plan on keeping track of their time myself just as I always have done.
While I think the Tsheets is a free service to me since I'd be the only one using it, it isn't as easy as it sounds. I believe there's a way to import information from my quickbooks to the tsheets, and since starting this post I've figured that part out, but there is more to it that it looks like won't work in my situation. I would hope that if I was able to get it working that I'd not only be able to access the time it takes to do each job this year but that I could once again access jobs we did in the past. That is the snag I'm running into. At present, I'm able to see all our customers and exactly what work was done for each one and when, but what I can't access thus far is how long it took to do each job nor the number of people that worked with us on each one.
It wasn't until late last year that I fully realized I couldn't look back to see specifics on jobs. At that time I began to make a note of who worked each job on each invoice. I didn't think to also make a note of how long each person worked. Sometimes employees are either running late or aren't feeling well and leave early, much like any job and then that changes how long it will take to get the job done the next time if I'm planning on something other than what actually happened in the past.
Somewhere along the way I'll need to write the quickbooks company to let them know they should keep that feature on their software for those us us too small to use their tsheet additional software which is an additional expense.
Who knows, maybe they asked their regular users whether anyone was still using that feature and since I haven't updated my product through the years, I wasn't aware of any possible future changes. Oh well, back to the drawing board. It just means a bit more work for me for when I have nothing better to do.
The only way for me to now access the info I need is to first see when the job was done in any given year and then look at my checkbook to look at the payroll info and figure it out that way. That means I need to check each person that was working in a given year and see if they were paid for that job.

What I need to do now to schedule jobs is the complicated part. Using the new program that they now have might be easier if they'd allow me entrance without me having to pay their monthly amount.
I sent them a letter voicing my displeasure with their product. I rarely do such a thing, but it will slow me down quite a bit and maybe they will consider putting back what worked previously.

@just4him I have an old computer which I've kept in order to play a game on one day that has the old software still on it. And, my computer guy may be able to revert my program/software back to the previous version. But, then I'd still have to re-input all my invoices and records from since I purchased the updated copy.
Maybe, instead, I'll just have to keep better records as I do jobs from now on and take some time to follow the trails and put the into somewhere where it's easier to find from previous years. It's not like I don't have time to work on some of that this week since it may rain more than I want. Maybe I should turn on some peppy music to inspire me into action related to this.

@MarshaMusselman Is there a way for you to backtrack and get it back yourself, or is that not possible once you upgrade?

Oh dear so they have 'improved' the programme but not for your needs. I hope that you find a short cut to it somewhere!

After talking with Valerie, I may just purchase a newer version from Amazon than what I had but before the changes to what I used a lot went into effect. First, I'll need to do some research to make sure I get the right one.
