For decades the city of New York has violated the 2nd Amendment rights of its citizens. Yes, you can own a firearm in New York, but the restrictions placed on gun owners make it almost impossible to be in compliance... until now. The US Supreme Court upheld the rights of the people to own guns without having to play "Mother May I" games with the government. No, you shouldn't have to get permission from the government to transport your firearm from your residence to a gun range. No, you shouldn't have to get permission to take your gun outside the city or state. No, defending yourself from a thug should not make you a criminal. In fact, if you would punish a woman for using a gun to fend off a rapist in a public or private place, you are blatantly PRO RAPE!
