Are you a night owl?

It's right at midnight so the perfect time to ask this question...are you a night owl? Who's still up and on MyLot?
I used to be a night owl since my husband worked 3-11 shifts and 11-7 shifts. I used to stay up and wait for him to get home from work because he either wasn't home yet or already crashed when I got up for work. Even after our children were born, I stayed up late. This was my quiet time and I loved it.
Years later this became my time to do my freelance writing. I loved writing and my thoughts flowed better at this time than any other. The house was settled and nothing to disturb me.
I still stay up late now that I am retired. It is just peaceful and the house is quiet. I can put the TV on any channel I want. I can do what I want. Be it something on the computer, read a book, watch a movie, crochet, etc.
So what do you do when you stay up late at night? Do you consider yourself a night owl? Or is it just a habit you have formed?

When I was young, yes. Old age seems to turn one into a morning person.

@JohnRoberts I have never been a morning person, unless you consider staying up until 1 or 2 am. haha

I either watch TV or write. Right now I'm writing. I got in the habit of staying up because my husband worked mostly 2nd and 3rd shifts and he would stay up most of the night. Now that I have trouble sleeping, it's not unusual for me to stay up all night.

The shift work is what started me off. Now we are trying to get back to normal day/nights since hubby's surgery, but it isn't happening very quickly. I'm getting more into my old habits and I'm wanting to stay up late now. Also, having a problem to deal with going through your mind is not very helpful in getting the sleep you need. I didn't need a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation right now.

I think I do consider myself as a night owl cause even how much I tried to sleep early I can't do it, the latest I go sleep is 6am and get up 10 or 11am.
