Should I go ahead and marry her

There was a girl that I want to marry we love each other very well, so one day I decided to bring her home to meet my parent and my other family member so immediately my father set his eye on her he became very angry and tell me that I cannot marry this girl and if I disobey him and marry her he will disown me an has nothing to do with me again, though my mother and other family members like her it's only my father that rejected her, I 've tried to find out the reason he rejects her, he has no reason and I cannot afford to miss this girl, should I go ahead and marry her and face the consequence? or should I obey my fathers' words

There are good people here on mylot, though I will still go and find the reason my father rejects her, only that I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket because you never can tell where help will come from

In the end it's your life, your decision. It's a hard one foe sure. I wish your father would have at least told you why he is so against this girl. How old are you? Is she from another tribe? Have you met her family?

Try to find a person who is so close to your father, so that the person can talk to your father and know the reason for his disagreement. If he disclose the reason for his dislike then it is easy to solve. Have the patience, may be your father change his opinion after some time.

I think you should do what you want. If you love her marry her. It is your choice and your happiness. I would be devistated if I could not choose who i could marry.
