Rubbing eyes

Many years ago, when looking up things on the Internet was not the norm, I heard from different people that rubbing the eyes cause squinting. I didn't read about this in any health magazine or talked about it with any professional then. Since then, whenever my eyes got a bit itchy, I thought of this thing and stayed away from rubbing the eyeball as much as possible. Now when I look up on this issue on the internet, I can find benefits from rubbing eyes, of course gently. There are other grave issues that can flare up by rubbing eyes, but it didn't mention a word about squinting. Do you rub your eyes after a tiring screen time? Image:abc.net.au

I get a cold wash cloth and put that on my eyes to make them feel better.

I never rub my eyes or squint. It's a very bad habit to get into.

Do you have myopia? If not a little bit of gentle rubbing now and then will do no harm, I guess.
