Hello, my friends. As you all know we have been having some severe weather with lots of rain for the last several days. We have rain in the forecast all weekend too. We missed the rain this morning with only light showers. The ground is overly saturated and one side of my chicken coop is a disaster. We have more thunderstorms that are supposed to hit this afternoon and into the evening. I am hoping this round will also drift off to the east or west of us. Several rivers in the Baton Rouge area are over the banks with some flooding occurring. I will try to get over there tomorrow to check on our house there that flooded in 2016. I hope you are all having a nice Saturday with good weather. Photo: Pixaby, public domain

@Nevena83 We are clear with sunshine (or supposed to be) all week. It was pretty today. It will take that long for the ground to dry out. It's so messy and mushy.

I hope your house isn't flooded! That must have been a nightmare. It's been sunny here even though they predict daily thunderstorms.

So far the house is okay according to neighborhood watch. Yes, it was. Lost 90% of my photos and lots of other things that we had stored there.

@kareng Glad it's okay and that you have people to keep you informed. How heartbreaking to lose such precious items from the last flood.

Hope it stops soon. I am having to wear boots to do the chores because of mud.

It looks like we will be getting it for most of the afternoon and evening here. Is it still raining at your place?

Having lived here my whole life, you get used to the flooding problems. I really like the area where we moved in Mississipi. Out in the country with no crowds, no noise, no pollution and on a hill.
