as the raining season is fast approaching, Snails will be flooding everywhere at the back of my house, because, they normally come out during the raining season, this meat is very delicious and nutritious especially when you prepared it with vegetable, red palm oil, onions, paper, and salt. do you know it or have you eaten it before?

Filipinos eat snails called " kuhol" , I eat kuhol but not all types of snails,we saute it in onions, garlic and ginger and cook in coconut milk sometimes with a dash of curry or turmeric for added flavor and color. The snails are also left and starved first in clean water. There are times we also eat it French escargot style.

@louievill , I wonder why the snails in this writer's surrounding so full of snails. Snails not from sea are poisonous. I don't know how true is it. I also eat snails from sea. Those big ones. I only add tomatoes and lemon grass wheww.

@cacay1 " kuhol" is a fresh water snail, at times they could be found in rice fields. The golden snail is an imported specie introduced by the former first lady Imelda Marcos for food but it became sorr of a pest, it's also a fresh water snail.

Why are there plenty of snails in your surrounding? Do you live near the sea? As far as I know snails not from the sea are poisonous. I hope the tale is wrong. I eat snails bought from the mall or in the public market;however, they must be clean and fresh.
