Remembering Mama

The song today must be the lovely “Mama” by Connie Francis which is partly sung in Italian. Every time a Mothers Day passes by or her birthday I remember my mom. For me, May is two hits to the heart since her birthday comes on the 26th. So this is special for my mom in heaven above. The photo is of my mom sitting on a hillside in the park in NYC with little me on her lap.
The song “Mama” was composed in 1940 with Italian lyrics. English lyrics were written in 1946. Connie Francis recorded the song in 1959.
Happy Mothers Day to all of you who are moms. All of you who, like me, miss their moms I hope you enjoy this song. I will light a candle for my mom.

I never heard the song. But, I do understand. My mother's Birthday was June 2 and Mother's day is close. I spend much of that time thinking of my mother and remembering the good times that we had.
