See? I Am Not Completely Dumb!

I do not like walking the neighborhood for fear of dogs. I do not like walking outside so as not to be made fun of. So, I do in-home walking. I reset a pedometer almost every morning, clip the pedometer to my shoe and then attempt getting in as many steps/miles simply by walking around the inside of my house. On Sparkpeople.com, there are even teams devoted to in-home walking. Finally, no worrying about the weather! In the attached article, glance what I have been doing along. See? I am not completely that dumb!

Do you ever reach 10,000 steps? To be honest, I rarely reach 10,000 no matter how much I walk throughout the day. Have you ever heard of Leslie Sansone? She is kind-of like the in-home walking guru.

@Spontaneo I don't count. I just try to move around periodically.

I live in an apartment on the second floor. It would be hard to do too much walking.

@Spontaneo no, I wouldn't go walking inside a grocery store. I don't mind walking outside but I have neuropathy in my feet. I have a lot of pain and my toes are now numb.

Are there any other ways to get in some indoor walking? Your local grocery market?

When I am sitting on my porch, dogs bark but are not in sight. The minute (never fails) that I attempt to take a walk, a dog appears! For example, a neighbor had company with a pitbull completely running free. The company was there for about a month. Then, for example, last week, never fails, I wanted to take a stroll. 2 big bull dogs. It is as if there is a dog patrol in the neighborhood against me!.

As long as you walk and get your heartbeat up, it’s all good.

I know... What am I supposed to wait for? Getting bit? People tell me I have no bites to worry about. My roommate even called the dog warden.

Good for you. Walking is walking and inside the comfort of your home sounds like the best one. It's what I choose as well.
