I usually have Birthday Pies. Not because I don't like a good cake, but pies are higher on the desert hierarchy than cake. ;~)

There is a big difference pies are more like fruit filling and cakes well cake it’s all flour sugars pies you don’t need a crust you can go crustless but it’s more like a custard thing. Unless he thinks pies as in pizza. I like cake more the pie

No cake is light and fluffy, pie is wet, creamy or sticky and in a shell.
