The story of Anya Sifuentes is an amazing story in which in her senior year, she became homeless when her mom could not pay the bills, decided to leave Anya to take care of her nephew and two siblings to take care of. Anya knew that she had to do something to stay off of the streets which was to find work while going to high school in Arkansas and run track. Anya was able to find an apartment with her relatives while running track, working jobs after school to pay the bills and support her relatives. Her talent as a track star impressed her coach Jeff Smith since Anya relied on her faith in God to get her out of the mess she was in. Anya's talents as a track star landed her a scholarship at the University of the Ozarks which she signed last month. Her story is just amazing that track was her ticket out of being homeless in Arkansas.

Anya is a great example of using her faith in God and her track talents to provide for her relatives.

@Mulidi At least track is her ticket out of being homeless like boxing is to some people who grew up in poverty.

It is an amazing story since most sports stars who grew up in poverty were either football players or baseball players.

I know how shocked she must have felt when her mom abandoned her to take her of her nephew and two siblings during her senior year in high school.
